The story of Scurry Dog

It all started with spaniels.

And of course, their frazzled humans!

We are Aleks and Clare and we're crazy about spaniels

and all active, "drivey" breeds.

We're 100% committed to helping their humans create a harmonious and fun-filled life together.

Over the years and hundreds of training programmes, we noticed several common themes, and not just with spaniels, but all active breeds:

"We noticed several common themes"

1

Most unwanted behaviours are closely linked to the breed-specific traits. Working breed dogs often express their enthusiasm, their energy, their frustration, confusion and stress by doing actions reflecting what the breed was intended for.

2

Most owners of working breed pets don't know this and think they are doing something wrong. They become frustrated when advice from Facebook groups is conflicting or not working.

3

Most owners of these dogs are aware that their pet dog needs exercise and an outlet for their talents, but they don't know how to do it. They feel overwhelmed and carry a lot of guilt about not being "good enough" dog parents.

4

Many gundog breed pet owners have tried going to a gundog trainer, but found that the training was either not relevant to their everyday life training goals or the whole experience was intimidating and the advice unachievable.

When they first come to us, they are feeling defeated, overwhelmed and their confidence is at rock bottom.

What do they need?

clarity about what to do and how

a structure to follow and progress through

specific goals that are relevant to their life

small, fun and achievable steps

a way to measure and celebrate their success

Scurry Dog is the answer!

We created Scurry Dog with a clear vision, following what we strongly believe.

We made it a modular dog sport, meaning that you can choose a specific game to focus on, or you can focus on collecting all the badges at one level at a time.

There are 5 levels in each game. You will earn badges and rosettes when you take part in trails and complete the levels.

You progress through levels based on points, which means you are working towards a standard rather than competing against others
