Working breed dogs like to work. This desire can get them into trouble when there's no appropriate, safe and structured outlet for their superpowers.

Scurry Dog employs dogs' talents and fulfils them on a deeper level than walks or ball chucking can ever do.

It also brings fulfilment to the humans who crave that deep working connection with their dog.

To remove barriers

Although designed for active, working breeds, Scurry Dog welcomes all dogs and owners who want to play gundog games.

We want it to be easy for people to play Scurry Dog with their dog, no matter their experience, background, where they live or if they have interest in field sports or not.

You don't need expensive equipment, access to countryside, a 4x4, a tweed outfit or a sporty physique to get involved.

Scurry Dog is designed to create challenges for you and your dog, in a safe and inclusive environment where dogs and humans can flourish.

Through expert advice and high quality training, we provide good foundations for this sport, and also for those who may want to go on to do other sports, or gundog work.

Living in our times can be a lonely experience. The world of dog care and training may feel divisive, judgemental and confusing for dog owners seeking help and for dog trainers who want the best for their clients.

We bring people together to have fun with their dogs, laugh at the silly things dogs do and share support and motivation.

We aim to create an inclusive community based on a passion for improving the lives of owners and dogs, and governed by kindness, open-mindedness and mutual respect.

We believe that focussing the discussion on specific tools or labels can lead to polarisation and a toxic atmosphere in the dog community.

It removes nuance from the picture of what is best for the wellbeing of the dogs and handlers and charges the debate.

We choose not to adopt any particular label and instead focus on our aim of bringing people together, supporting each other, and ultimately working towards happy and fulfilled dogs and people.
